Your expedition begins with a drive through historic Hilo Town and Banyan Tree Drive where you will see the canopy of Banyan trees outlining the Waiakea Peninsula . Then, it is off to the famous Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where you will be given ample opportunity to explore the infamous volcanoes of the Big Island .

You can learn about the history and behavior of Hawaiian Volcanoes at the Jaggar Museum , walk through the mysterious Thurston Lava Tube, hike the dormant crater of Kilauea Iki Crater, and discover active and dormant lava flows on the Chain of Craters Road. If time allows, you will have stops at Rainbow Falls and the Mauna Loa Factory or an orchid nursery.
